![]() ![]() They are no longer making aspirational cars, their current line up is filled with vehicles that are just "Meh!". IMHO, Honda seems to have lost the plot completely. It is a car for people who just need 4 wheels (this is just my personal opinion.the desirability of a car as always, is in the eyes of the beholder). What makes it worse, was that the noise is just noise!, its neither a pleasant nor encouraging sound. The engine was very audible inside post 2,800RPM. A little better than my Jazz (believe me, that is not a compliment, the Jazz has no power to speak off). The power felt just adequate, not bad, just adequate. The cameras, rear and lane change are exceptional in their quality. The outer edges of the bonnet stand out and it feels like the bonnet stretches out for a imposing distance. The view from the drivers seat is superb, one feels like one is driving a big SUV. The boot is a good size, comparable to others in the segment. The rear seats disappointed in their width, as many others have pointed out, however leg room is good (simply because the travel of the front seats is quite limited). The seats aren't broad in comparison to the Jazz (Front). While the feature set is acceptable to me, one couldn't call it 'Loaded'. Not exciting, just "Not Offensive" (that is best way to describe the design). The elevate looks better in the metal (in the photos, that front end always looked weird). I test drove the Elevate today with a view to replacing my Jazz (petrol). And then the same dealers would be calling with offers. If they are too adamant on these things, I would cancel the booking and wait for sometime to cool off the initial hype. After I decide the color, I will look into insurance, pre-payment and other tantrums they would be throwing at me. But I have asked him to show me the grey color before I finalise the car. I have also booked from Ring Road Honda, CP. Everywhere, whenever a new car is launched, dealers' behaviour is similar. I dont think it is with Honda dealers only. Now, he's given me 3 days to decide before he passes the car to the next waiting customer.I am tempted to take his offer and potentially cancel the booking. One of the many reasons I've never bought a Honda car is just sheer bad sales experience. And, I was like not the first time I am buying a car. Then he was like atleast take the basic at 12k.įor PDI the SA initially insisted on doing the full car payment. Then was telling me to take 70k worth of accessories which I shot down. To which he said will give you a PDC after you have bought the insurance from us. No outside insurance then I told him I have an NCB Certificate from my previous car sale. The dealer is Ring Road Honda, Moti Nagar, DELHI. ![]()
